Description
Makani is a beautifully kept 1993 Gozzard 44 MK1 AC, a classic bluewater cutter that blends traditional craftsmanship with serious offshore capability. With an overall length of 50 feet, her solid fiberglass hull and modified full keel deliver the kind of reassuring, comfortable ride, stability, tracking, and responsiveness that Gozzards are known for. She is equally at home passagemaking offshore or cruising comfortably along the coast.
Makani is particularly well-suited for adventure-minded owners. The current owners are avid divers and outfitted the boat with a dedicated dive compressor, turning her into a capable floating dive platform. For many years, she has proven her reliability on annual winter passages to the Bahamas, supporting extended trips focused on exploration and diving.

Accommodations
Forward is a full-beam storage compartment in the main saloon and contains the forward air-conditioning unit with removable shelving.
The main saloon is bright and open, centered around a large U-shaped settee and a versatile centerline table that converts from a cocktail table to a full dining table with a tabletop insert. This area converts to a generous double guest berth and can be closed off with hinged privacy doors. Two sliding swivel chairs allow flexible seating for dining or conversation.
A two-person dinette sits just aft of the saloon opposite a well-designed amidships galley with a center island for secure bracing underway.
Aft of the galley is the navigation station with a large chart deck, seat, built-in electronics, electrical panels, and battery switches.
Dual heads are positioned opposite the galley and dinette with a separate stall shower between them, allowing flexible privacy arrangements for owners and guests. The aft head has been converted to a workroom with a generator, a large toolbox, and extensive storage for spares. The shower area holds the dive compressor.
The owner’s stateroom aft to port features a king-size berth, abundant lockers and drawers, and private access to the aft workroom. The inboard bulkhead has been modified with a removable panel to allow additional engine access.
Opposite is a navigation station and a double quarter berth. The berth’s forward section serves as the nav seat with a removable backrest.
