Offshore dinghy davits place the dinghy in a higher position off the stern allowing the stern platform to be dropped without lowering the dinghy. Higher davits also reduce the risk of following seas impacting the dinghy. The offshore dinghy davits incorporate elevated stern seats in the design.
Note: In large seas, it is still advised to have the dinghy strapped securely to the deck rather than on the davits.
